Is there any software available to read Zemax ZRD files?

I would like to have the ability to read in Zemax ZRD binary files into MATLAB. I tried using fopen and fread with no luck. I see examples of code on the File Exchange to read in Zemax ZBF files but nothing for ZRD files.

I was able to obtain a zip file and associated documentation from the website you provided. After attempting to use the MATLAB files and Visual Studio solution file within the zip, I determined that I require ZOSAPI*.dlls to proceed. I think I'm stuck again but not due to MATLAB, more that I might need Zemax license and code.

I understand this might be late but I faced the same problem recently. Since there was now readily available solution at the time, I wrote my own fully standalone function to load ZRD files and group rays into distinct paths.
