Loading a excel file in which I want to take only A, C not B and D, how can I improve?

sheet = 1;
header_xlRange = 'A:D';
[headers_nums, header_text] = xlsread(filename, sheet, header_xlRange);
loading a excel file in which I want to take only A, C not B and D, how can I improve?

headers_nums=headers_nums(:,[1 3])
