Color plot for material properties?

Could you kindly recomment a matlab function to plot the color map for a meshed plate for me please! I mean I now the coordinate and the value of E, how can I plot the plates like other FEM software? The coordinate is 7x7 but the E matrix is 6x6.

Read about patch, you can provide nodal connectivity data and plot the required.

Also you can do iinterpolation from element center to nodes and use pcolor.

You can use imshow() with the 'InitialMagnification' option set to ten thousand. Then set a colormap

yourMatrix = rand(7)
cmap = jet(256);
imshow(yourMatrix, 'InitialMagnification', 10000, 'Colormap', cmap);
