Hi to all the MATLAB community... I too have a question with regard to this topic... I am trying to develop a similar custom block set like functionality but for microchip 12F and 16F series micro-controllers.... but I also perfer to provide arduino like functionality like this link says...
are there any guides regarding designing the compatible hardware(ex...arduino uno's atmel micro may not have usb functionality but with the FTDI chip would offer the matlab compatibility... so are there any generic guides on this)....
THANK YOU!!!

I am not aware of a standard guide to do something like this, but you may want to play with the MATLAB Support Package for Arduino to understand how they achieve the interface and perhaps think about using a similar methodology. Note that some hardware vendors may already provide DLLs, or other such interfaces, in which case you can simply call into those External Interfaces from MATLAB without doing a lot of work.
