VolumeViewer/SliceViewer vs Slicefunction

Hi,

I want to display some echocardiographic data in a xyz-coordinate system so i can annotate points on echocardiography.

In order to do so, I have been using the slicefunction in this way: h=slice(X,Y,Z,vol,X_slice_Vec,Y_slice_Vec,Z_slice_Vec,'linear'). This method works fine, however compared to the SliceViewer or VolumeViewer function the slicefunction is very slow, therefore it is not possible to slice seemlesy trough the volume.

I was wondering if someone know if VolumeViewer uses a more efficient code?
