find spots in image

I have an image: http://imageshack.us/scaled/landing/138/n9m1.jpg

The image has 7 circles.(6 bright, 1 dark)

then, how can I find the center[or centroid, weighted centroid, etc] of circles NOT using image process toolbox but basic tools?
