Implementing lifting scheme 1D with the interpolating subdivision

The goal is to compress one picture by using the lifting scheme with the interpolation subdivision.

The problem is that i've undersood the math process behind, but i don't know how to translate it in Matlab.

Hi,

You can go through this to understand the basic MATLAB functions. Then try to implement the algorithm. There are also some already image compression methds available in MATLAB which you can check here.
