Ubuntu 20.04, how to install matlab 2021a behind a proxy

Hi,

I am trying to install matlab 2021a on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. My computer is behind a proxy and firewall form my university.

I have tried all the possible solutions, but did not get it working. Things have been tried:

1. Setting proxy in ~/.bashrc: "export http_proxy=http://xxx:xxx" does not work.
2. Install with "./install -proxyurl xxx:xxx" does not work.
3. I also don't find a download link for offline installation. Only administrator can do this...

Asking my unversity to open ports for me is not an option.

Mathworks is now making things only work for system administor, but not for standard user anymore?

It was so easy to install matlab with the traditional way...
