Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore

The Embedded Target enables the validation of algorithms, comparing between MILS and PILS environment using simulator or emulator.

Overview

The Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore enables the validation of algorithms, comparing between MILS and PILS environment using simulator or emulator connecting to RH850 target boards. When doing PIL simulation, it is possible to measure execution time in each subsystem.

Also, RH850 Multicore supports multicore parallelization.

The Embedded Target requires the license key installation. See the Setup and License sections before use.

Setup

1. Download zip file package of the Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore from product page and execute installer in the zip file.
2. An Renesas CS+ is needed to execute PILS by the Embedded Target. Check the Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore User’s Manual Chap.1.3 on product page for Renesas CS+ versions supported by the Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore.
3. Download an installer of CS+ from product pages of CS+ and install it.

License

The Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore needs license key for running PILS with Renesas Devices. For trying the Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore, license key of evaluation version is enabled by requesting to Renesas technical support. Also, commercial version of the Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore is on sales. For more information, visit the product page of Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore.

There are 3 types of licenses. Please choose the one that suits your target MCU and needs.

• Embedded Target for RH850 : For single core only
• Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore : For both multicore and single core
• Embedded Target for RH850 Multicore + Multirate : For both multicore and single core. Also Supports multi rate function
