This script takes an RGB image, looks only at the green data within a region of interest, extracts edges, and then counts the number of particles. It was used to count the number of green fluorescent microspheres in a fish-inspired cross flow filter.
I would like to acknowledge the readpoints function, provided on a Mathworks answers post by David Young on Feb 24 2014.
