Closed Loop PI Controller for Boost DC-DC Converter.
Switching Frquency Fsw=5000Hz and Sampling Frequency Fs=100000 (both saved in Model Worksapce).
Load Resistance R=20 Ohm & Vin=10Volt.
L and C are designed accroding to:
C> D/ ( R* (dVo/Vo)*Fsw)
L> ( D*(1-D)^2 * R)/ (2*Fsw)
  • D is calucated from ( D=1- (Vin/Vo) ) where Vin=10V, output voltage Vo=80V
  • (dVo/Vo)=0.01 (represent 1% ripple of Vo).
Reference of Boost Design can be found in Text Book (Power Electronics, by Daniel W. Hart).
Any PID tuniung method can be used for this application, such as (Zigler Nochlas Method) or manual method such as trail and error tuning.
