i have a issue with my images. am doing the project with dental images and obtained images are in the form of xray sheet (iopa) , so in order to obtain the digital image i had taken the snaps of it using digital camera but now its not clear.

i need to extract only a single tooth from the given image but i dnt know which algorithm to select. i had gone through thresholding technique but not able to segment the tooth properly.
