At Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, component-level design calculations are developed with the help of domain experts to predict the key performance parameters. These design calculations are converted into easy-to-use GUI for input and output interactions. Various MathWorks toolboxes and best practices are integrated with these applications for improved user experience, such as automated report generation. The applications are made accessible to the designers through a web browser and can be run from their workstations without the need to install additional software. The applications are hosted in a web platform, called MathApps, which serves as a central hub of applications. All applications are restricted for internal use by integration with server-based database and two-stage authentications. Applications are open for all designers across multiple product development centers. It covers diverse application domains ranging from simple spreadsheet-based calculations to multiphysics and nonlinear simulations based on beam theory, test data processing, and data analytics. The web site interface enables easy retrieval of calculations, with quick search and filter options. MathApps avoids duplication of efforts using a single central repository and paves the way for knowledge management. In conclusion, the innovative platform is transforming the way in which concept calculations are performed and has the potential to be a disruptive force in CAE democratization.
