Voltage Control in a Bidirectional DC-DC Converter

Since R2024a

This example shows how to control the voltage of a DC bus connected to a load, a current source, and a battery with an isolated converter.

Model Overview

In this model, the DC bus requires a voltage of 48 V. The load and current source request and give different values of power and current during the simulation. To adjust the duty cycle, the Controller subsystem uses a PI-based control algorithm. The bidirectional DC-DC converter uses ideal semiconductor switches.

Simulation Results

This plot shows the requested and measured voltage for the DC Bus. The plot also shows the battery voltage around the expected value, which depends on the current directionality and internal resistance.
