X11 Display Server Connection Lost

Hi,

I am using MATLAB 2009b on a Mac, Snow Leopard 10.6.6 No matter how I launch MATLAB ( -nojvm option, -nodesktop option, having the X11 application running first ...) I can only work for 5 minutes. Then I am getting the message "Warning: Connection to the X11 Display Server (/tmp/launch-3FJzcY/org.x:0) has been lost. No more graphics windows can no longer be displayed in this session. Graphics Objects can still be printed, and all commands should still work. We recommend that you try to save your current session and exit "

Any help appreciated...
