shared licensing of matlab features

in my workplace, we are having to share licenses for various matlab features. Like say for example, during a certain time of the day there are many people using the control system toolbox and so i am unable to load controlSystemDesigner. Currently, to free up the license so that another user can get to use that feature, we have to close that feature along with completely closing out of matlab. My question is if there is a way to free up the license without having to completely close out of matlab? Having to close out of matlab causes me to have to save my work, have to wait to restart the program, and lose my place and concetration.
I thought maybe the 'quit' command would be of use but i have been unsuccessful in getting it to close out a feature and freeing up its license.
for example: quit( slrtExplorer )
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, there is no way of doing that.
I see disagreements online as to whether it is possible at all with the underlying license technology (Flexera); certainly MATLAB does not support it.
Back when I used to admin MATLAB licenses, the Mathworks position was in that kind of situation, you effectively had too few licenses for your needs.
