Trying to read a new licence into LMTool on Linux

As above its a while since ive done any licence config and cant find the answer to the above. Ive got one fixed licence but want to import a licence in alongside the existing one. The file that i have is a .lic file (the other one is a dat file) the one thats already installed.

Name primary license file as license.dat, name secondary license file as xxx.lic. Put both in matlabroot\licenses folder and they should work. See document in your version of MATLAB:
