Home and Student Licenses
The MathWorks Products on these licenses can only be installed and activated by the end user, who is also the License Administrator.
Individual Licenses (excluding Home and Student licenses)
In addition to the end user, a License Administrator can also perform installation and activation for the end user. If you are installing with an unrestricted internet connection, you will be prompted to specify the user you are installing for during installation.
If you are installing without an internet connection or with a restricted internet connection, you will be prompted to specify who you are licensing the installation for while generating the license file in the License Center.
All Other License Offerings
License Administrators can perform installation for the end users if the end users won't or can't install and activate themselves. If desired, License Administrators can appropriately redistribute offline installation and activation files to somebody else to perform these tasks, such as an organization's IT department.
