System requirements for simultaneous Polyspace BugFinder Analyzes on one computer?

5 visualizzazioni (ultimi 30 giorni)
Hello. I need to start an indefinite number of BugFinder analyses on a computer at indefinite times as headless. I need 25 minutes to analyze one project, but when I run two different BugFinder analyses on the same project at the same time, the time exceeds 50 minutes and the CPU consumption is 100%.
My question: Is it possible to run more than one analysis without increasing the time and without the computer locking up? Will upgrading CPU cores, RAM or CPU GHZ etc. solve this or will the time increase in any case? If upgrading the hardware will solve the problem, how much should I upgrade?

Hi @Kaya,
You can refer to the following answer from the support team regarding the most performant configuration, which includes an attached document:
The cpu usage can be limited by using the "-max-processes" option, and the performance is limited by the number of cores.

Thank you for your answer.
My machine has 8 cores and 8 Logical Processors. When running multiple analyses on this machine at the same time, would the best option be to set the max-process parameter to 4 or 8? If I set it to 8, the BugFinder will be split across all cores but will the cpu lock up because there will be other BugFinders running at the same time? If I set it to 4, the BugFinder will slow down but will the processor have more processing capacity?
