closed loop variable in Embedded matlab function

I used a variable in all my embedded matlab program which is actually a dynamic variable. (rotor position in switched reluctance motor). My motor torque always remains zero even though no error in the simulink. How to achieve closed loop variable be updated inside the embedded matlab program????
