Problem related to automatic isolation/separation/ segmentation of each tooth from dental x-ray image

Hello, Here I attached dental X-ray image. I am getting problem in separating each tooth from this image. Can anyone help me to isolate the teeth from this image. Thank you.

It's not an easy task. Since there is no specific edge, brightness or anything that defines the shape of each tooth, I reckon the best solution would be using some texton-like analysis.

You need some samples of teeth images to compare with your X-ray. Doing this comparison you should be able to extract teeth from the image.

thank you for your reply. I am having near about 100 teeth x-ray images. from which I need to separate the diseased portion. If we cannot separate it out then can we find some group of pixel intensities from an image?
