pre-emphasis filter

Hello! How can I implement pre-emphasis filter in matlab? I have to implement it for any audio file and then compare the differences.

To design a filter such as that, it’s probably best to use the firls function or its FIR-design friends. There are many ways to design filters in MATLAB, but for your purpose, that’s probably the easiest.

Remember to check the transfer function with the freqz function to be sure the filter is doing what you want it to.
