Create a ROS custom message

I have a 3x1 cell array that I would like to publish to a ROS topic. Each cell changes size for each publishing (they are lists of points in a region that my robots occupy). How would I write a custom ROS message to accomplish this?

You'll need to write the custom ROS messages in a manner before using MATLAB. http://wiki.ros.org/ROS/Tutorials/CreatingMsgAndSrv
Onece you write the custom ROS messages, you can import the messages using the following addon. https://jp.mathworks.com/help/robotics/ug/ros-custom-message-support.html
