MATLAB Connector and MATLAB Mobile connectivity issues for Nexus Andriod phone

I am currently trying to use MATLAB Mobile and MATLAB connect for the first time. I am using and LG Nexus android phone to connect to an ASUS cpu, however to matter what I try I am not getting a connect to my PC. Also tried using connectify and Sensor UPd, I am seeing the cell phone with my PC when ping but no connection of sensor data to MATLAB. Also tried the Android add-on but not sure how to use it. Advice anyone?
