Modeling diesel engine in simulink

80 visualizzazioni (ultimi 30 giorni)
I am having difficulty creating a Diesel Engine model. I would like to replicate a certain engine in Simulink and connect it to a fixed pump. I have PSI and GPM results on a pump being used to power a hydraulic tool. This model is to replicate a work truck with hydraulic components i.e. the diesel engine powering the pump for the hydraulic tools to perform.
This is the engine I would like to recreate Maxxforce 10 http://carcoint.com/maxxforce/9/MaxxForce9.pdf
I am approaching this using the Simscape Generic engine block but am having trouble. Any help would be great

If you look at the documentation for the Simscape Driveline Generic Engine block, you will see that it can be configured to accept torque-speed or torque-power data as a lookup table. Both of those curves are provided in the data sheet that you linked to. See the image below - upper part of the image is a screenshot from the data sheet, lower part of the image is a screenshot from the Simscape Driveline Generic Engine dialog box. The data sheet also provides the single data point that is needed if you chose to use the first option, "Normalized 3rd-order polynomial matched to peak power".
If you want a great tool for getting data sheet curves from images into MATLAB as data, check out GRABIT on the MATLAB Central File Exchange.
Thanks for the question and the link to the data sheet.

Hello,
I am interested in the simulation of a synchronous generator coupled with a diesel engine in Simulink. I have the data of the diesel engine and the synchronous generator. However, the simulation does not run adequately. Any help is welcome.

Hi tarben, can you share the diesel and generator data?
