how to show more color and range in color bar ?

Hi I have this image ( please see the attached ) and I want to show more color and range ( value) in my color map. How can I do that ? Thanks for your code/help

The default colormap has only 64 entries. You can get finer granularity by calling

cmap = parula(256);    %calculate parula colormap with 256 entries
colormap(cmap);        %activate given colormap

But this might not help, depending how you created the plot. I suspect you might have done something like a scatter() followed by a caxis() ?

Hi Thanks for replying, please see the attached. I changed it from default to hsv using your code. it changed the colormap but it does not show more range though.

and you can remove the

colormap hsv

before that.
