Simulink.ConfigSet vs. coder.Embe​ddedCodeCo​nfig?

I have a company specific Simulink code generation config set. I instead want to generate code from a Matlab function using the codegen command as in this example: https://se.mathworks.com/help/ident/ug/generate-code-for-online-state-estimation-in-matlab.html

• How can I inherit my Simulink company settings for use with codegen command?
• What is the relation between the classes Simulink.ConfigSet and coder.EmbeddedCodeConfig?

I think you are refering to 2 different products here.

1. Simulink config set (Simulink.ConfigSet) is used to generate the code from Simulink model using Simulink Coder and Embedded Coder.
2. There is another product call Matlab Coder which is used to generate code from Matlab scripts. The example in the link is for Matlab coder.

You can not use Simulink.ConfigSet from your company in Matlab coder.

I am refering to 2 different products. Hence the question. The suggested answer is not satisfying.
