I want to find the peak with the most height(not the maximum y value, but the distance from the local minima just before the peak to the peak). Kindly help out.1 Commento

Perhaps:
PEAKS=findpeaks(y);
max(abs(diff(PEAKS)))

Hello,
Find the slope for each case. When there is change in slope from positive to negative, its a peak. If the slope changes from negetive to positive then its a crust.
formula for slope is (Y2 - Y1) / (X2 - X1)
