1. Given x(t)=200sin(pi)(t), Generate samples from x(t) that illustrate the following cases
a. Under sampling b. Perfect sampling c. Over sampling
2. Using these sampled functions, generate 1000 samples using zero-order hold interpolation.
3. Calculate the Mean-Square Error (MSE) between the original function and the reconstructed functions obtained in (2). Comment on the results.
4. The files “ECG.mat” and “chirp.mat” respectively represent an ECG signal (sampled @1000 Hz) and a speech signal (sampled @8192 Hz).
a) Plot the sampled signals and their spectra. b) Run the signals through the computer sound card. c) Down-sample the signals by a factor of D (D=2, 4, 8), then plot the down-sampled signals and their spectra. Comment on the results.
