Angle of Arrival for UCA

Hi

I need to implement the angle of arrival for UCA

From the matlab available function I have seen that root MUSIC algorithm is best suited for UCA.

In the same help its mentioned that the root MUSIC for ULA and UCA are same except that for UCA it performs phase mode excitation technique to transform the input to ULA structure like input.Please help that do I understand correct and if the phase mode excitation is to be done how can it be performed.

More over I am cofused that in UCA elements are placed in an array irrespective of wavelength then how can ULA and UCA be corelated

I did the same but the very first two lines of the document are making me confused

the confusion is the same i mentioned in my question that how can UCA be transformed into ULA structure like input
