Let f(t) = 1/t,
Find the average rate of change of f with respect to t over the intervals t=2 to t=3

Isn't it
1/(3-2) * integral_{t=2}^{t=3} f'(t) dt = 1/(3-2) * (f(3)-f(2)) = 1/3 - 1/2 = -1/6
?
