intersection points of array of lines with data

Hi all, thanks for the help so far. How can I get the coordinates of the points of intesection of these array of orthogonal lines with my data shown below. The data is plotted with red dots and the lines are in blue (200 lines).

The question doesnt make sense to me. if your data are points, the intersection with that points are the points themselves, aren't they?

I was trying to find the thickness variation of the data plotted with red dots. I used each of the 200 orthogonal lines to intersect the data at two points each. the distance between each intersection should be the thickness. Anyway I have used the ginput(n) command with the mouse to get the points of intersection. I wish theres another faster way though.
