matlab gui color code

Hello. On this image, for example, when I plus red and yellow then push the equal symbol, I want to orange written on the edit text panel. How can I do that ? Is there any code like str2num ?

You want the word ORANGE written to the text box or you want the text box to be colored orange? How would str2num() come into play?

I think he's says that red ([r,g,b] = 1,0,0) plus yellow (1, 1, 0) should equal orange and he wants that black block to turn orange. Hopefully that black block is an axes so he can load an orange image into it.

Or set the axis color to orange via h.Color = [rgb].

You'd average the rgb values, not add them, wouldn't you?
