i am using matlabR2015a i used the bellow code to read a audio file but it doesnt work

Aswin - are you sure that your version of MATLAB is R2015a? audioread has been around since R2012b so you should have access to this function. If you launch pathtool (from the command line), what do you see? Does the MATLAB search path include something like toolbox/matlab/audiovideo/?
