live editor, max function - Insufficient number of outputs from right hand side of equal sign to satisfy assignment.

>> [M, I] = max([1,1,1]);

→ "Insufficient number of outputs from right hand side of equal sign to satisfy assignment."

It produces the proper output when I type this exact same thing in the command window instead of running the section of the script that it is contained in. Why isn't it working in the live script?

Which is to say that you would get that error if max was a variable.
