Generating a constant signal with fade in and fade out

Hi ,

I have to generate a signal ( as below)for an actuator using Simulink. It is a constant voltage signal that should reach the constant value smoothly (like a half sine wave) and also fade out in the same manner. I have just started using Simulink and finding it hard to construct something similar to the figure below. I would appreciate if some one can help.

If you need smoothness why don't you try to use Splines e.g., matlab cubic spline data interpolation function.

Is its purpose just to generate a signal?

Do you have a time series data file for that waveform (eg Excel)?
