Solving a matrices equation

Hi,
If I have an equation
det(-c^2*[m]+[k])=0
where [m] and [k] are both known 6x6 matrices
How would I solve this problem in MATLAB?

A simple generalized eigenvalue problem, and thus solved directly by eig.
