How long do I have access to Matlab on a Academic license?

My subscrition says it is a Acedemic License and annual but is this one year after I made an account or will it end sooner?

Matthew, your academic license is good for one year starting from the date the license has been purchased. Contact me directly and I can give you more detailed information on your license.
