Probability Assignment. Finding Average Cost.

Hey there. I am at a beginner level with Matlab and I would like some help with an assignment. I have attached pictures with the assignment. The main question is 3.9.4 which references 3.27 which references 3.25. The examples pretty much give us the equations but I am not really sure how I would put it into Matlab. I'm thinking we would have to use the setup from 3.25 and put it into Matlab using an if and else statement while also using something to find the average. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since this is a homework assignment, show us the code you've written to try to solve the problem and ask a specific question about where you're having difficulty and we may be able to provide some guidance.
