How I could set up a listener and for an event (new email in my mailbox) in Outlook with MATLAB?

I need to listen the mails (of my Outlook mailbox) and if a new mail comes in my mailbox to trigger a function.

Hey,

When numUnreads changes, you can run your function.

@Mario Malic, how its possible to access attributes from this-these mail-s. (f.e subject text) There is a mail ID or another indicator that I could use to recall them and search inside?

inboxMail contains the mail list, probably only mails that are synced in the client, you can verify with the Count method.

inboxMail = inboxFolder.Items;

To get the actual mail, you can use GetFirst or use Item method to obtain it.

mail = inboxMail.GetFirst; % There are other methods as well
mail = inboxMail.Item(1)
body = mail.Body; % the body of the message

This describes how to uniquely identify mail, but I don't understand what do they mean in variant.

I am unsure about how I should proceed with this, as I am not familiar with events and listeners. As far as I understood, the event is triggered when a property of a handle class (using the handle class notify method) changes. So where exactly should your code snippet be placed? Under the properties block of the class definition? Thanks in advance
