What is the cause of the following segmentation violation in opening a gui file?

Crash reports should usually be referred to Mathworks.

I notice that you are running R2006b. Did you perhaps attempt to open a GUIDE .fig that was created with a release after R2006b? Some of the changes to MATLAB that occurred around R2008a or so could result in earlier versions such as R2006b crashing when the earlier versions attempted to open files saved later.

Thanks a lot Walter. I was using an old version of MATLAB. In new version, I didn't find any problem.
