Cross correlation problem..

Hey every1..

I have two signals they identical but one is delayed with some time D and I am trying to use cross correlation to find out the delay time.. It should return the time I used to delay the Signal.. I am stuck with this and don't know how to sort it out .. read couple of articles and It didn't work.. I know there is an in-built function in Matlab to help this but yet couldn't manage to make it work either.. [lag,criterion] = delay(x,y)

I know lag should be the delay I given e.g lag = 3 and the delay function should return 3 at the end and x,y should be my two signals??

Any ideas how to solve this problem..?

I guess you are looking for the xcorr function from Signal Processing Toolbox ...
