Release R2026a of Simulink Real-Time introduces Antelope RTOS®, a Linux®-based real-time operating system from Speedgoat, and enhanced capabilities. This page highlights the updates and provides videos and resources to help you get started with the latest version of Simulink Real-Time.

Portfolio of Speedgoat test systems, including performance real-time target machine, unit real-time target machine, baseline real-time target machine, mobile real-time target machine, pulse real-time target machine.

Enhanced Capabilities

  • 64-bit Linux-based Antelope RTOS: Enables the use of open-standard libraries and supports virtual environments.
  • Upgraded host-target communication: Provides simplified firewall configuration and encryption via TLS/WebSocket.
  • Dynamic data logging: Enables adding or removing signals to log during runtime without the need to rebuild the Simulink model.
  • Parquet file format for data logging: Offers efficient compression for faster data downloads and an open-standard format readable outside of MATLAB.
  • RESTful API: Enables load, start, stop, and check status of real-time applications using HTTP commands.
  • Upgraded ASAM XIL infrastructure: Delivers improved read and write performance when using third-party test automation tools.
  • Profiling and tracing tools: Assist in advanced troubleshooting to identify real-time execution bottlenecks and optimize your applications.

The Simulink Real-Time Target Support Package is no longer required with R2026a and future MATLAB releases. Visit Speedgoat for information about upgrading existing Speedgoat installations.
