Downlink Transport Channels
Use transport channels to encode and transmit transport blocks with specific characteristics. 5G Toolbox™ supports the following downlink transport channels.
BCH — Broadcast channel
The BCH encodes system information required by the user equipment (UE) to access the network. The encoded information is mapped to a physical broadcast channel (PBCH). For an overview of the available PBCH functionalities, see Downlink Physical Channels.
DL-SCH — Downlink shared channel
The DL-SCH encodes user data and paging information. The encoded data is mapped to a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). For an overview of the available PDSCH functionalities, see Downlink Physical Channels.
